This is an introduction to ACLS Humanities E Book, our history, our mission and our future direction. We are a non profit aggregator of humanities related social science titles of the higest quality. We will be introducing our joint project with the American Theological Library Association (ATLA) to provide ebooks to the members for research. We have created the ATLA Special Series in Religion and Biblical Studies.

The American Council of Learned Societies has historically had a long and cordial relationship with the American Theological Library Association, as part of which ACLS Humanities E-Book (HEB) has partnered with ATLA to introduce the ATLA Special Series in Religion and Biblical Studies. This carefully selected collection follows the same rigorous process of curation  that make up the balance of HEB’s 4700 titles. The difference being, this new offering will have the additional vetting of ATLA’s member scholars.

Humanities E-Book is pleased to announce its participation in the ATLA/SCELC Affiliate Program with an extremely advantageous introductory program. Our participation will enable us to offer an increased discount and additional resources to ATLA members who join the ATLA/SCELC Affiliate Program.
